Philosophy

We believe college-age-stage ministry is…
…necessary to bridge generational gaps in churches
…a catalyst for any church, in any context, in many ways.
…an adolescent age-stage-ministry.
…under-rated, under-estimated, and under-utilized.

Our Mission:
To help people recognize the vitality of ministering to college age people in and through the local church and to assist church leaders by providing networks, college ministry resources, and mentorship.

Why Focus On The Local Church?
We believe the local church should take care of every age-stage of life, not just some. The church has gernerally neglected the college-age-stage and has left the responsibility to campus oriented para-church organizations. There are many reasons as to how or why this is happening, but our goal is to make known the benefits and vitality of having college-age-stage ministries within local church structures. Local church leaders must see how this ministry supports the overall structure and maturity process of their people. Without a ministry to college-age people both are stunted.

Age-Stage Ministry:
Every church specifically addresses different age-stages of life. Children's Ministry (typically ages 0-11), Jr. High Ministry (ages 11-13) and High School Ministry (14-18) are typically addressed in every church context in one way or another. These are age-stage-ministries that have unique needs and characteristics, therefore are approached individually.

With the extension of adolescence, historically unique demands in the workforce and the Boomer parental value systems, the college-age-stage of life should also individually be addressed in the local church. Not having a college ministry is leaving adolescents on their own...and possibly when they need us most.

We not only think this is wrong, we want to do something about it.
